Breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting Thai women and it is a major health problem in both developed and developing countries. Delayed presentation and more advanced stage at diagnosis have been associated with low socioeconomic status. Understanding of these factors are important to address for purpose of bringing an improvement in stage include public awareness of breast cancer. A cross-sectional study was conducted 120 invasive breast cancer between January and December 2025. The objective is to study the factors affecting delays in receiving treatment for breast cancer at different stages, categorized by delays caused with the patient. Of these were interview using a structured questionnaire on potential risk of delayed presentation. Using logistic regression analyses were identified factors associated with delay and advanced stage. Among 120 breast cancer, sixteen per cent of patient delayed seeking health provider consultation, and factors associated with patient-induced delays included consulting healthcare professionals immediately after experiencing breast abnormalities (P-Value=0.03). Relatives/friends had a 2.19 times greater influence on the patient's decision to seek medical/healthcare support when abnormalities were detected compared to the group who made the decision themselves (OR= 2.19, 95% CI: 1.94-5.32). The result suggests that awareness about onset of breast symptoms was an important, and health practitioners recognize these symptoms, and examine, investigate and refer appropriately.
