Effectiveness of capacity building in Village Health Volunteers with expertise on digital technology to using mobile health applications, Wiang Chiang Rung District, Chiang Rai Province.

Abstract

           The Action research aims to capacity building and study effects in Village Health Volunteers with expertise on digital technology to using mobile health applications, Wiang Chiang Rung District, Chiang Rai Province. The sample were 65 village health volunteers. Conduct of 4 steps in 3 months consist of 1) planning to determines the practice guidelines from the analysis of capacity in village health volunteers to the use of mobile health applications, 2) action according to the specified plan and controlling operations to be as specified in the plan, 3) observation the factors supporting and barrier the implementation of the plan and, 4) reflection of collects information about the process and results of the work that has been done or not. The Research instrument was the questionnaire that developed from a literature review and tool quality check by 3 experts. The questionnaire consists of 3 parts were part 1 Demographic characteristics, part 2 knowledge about digital technology and part 3 skills in using mobile health applications. Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and paired t – test.

           Result found that after capacity building the village health volunteers had knowledge increasing about digital technology and skills in using mobile health applications with statistical significance level at 0.05.

           Should encourage capacity building to village health volunteers had skills in using mobile health applications for care of people’s health in the area of the future.
