Publication Ethics
Duties of Authors
- Original articles must undergo review by the research ethics committee.
- Authors must obtain consent for submission from co-authors (if any).
- Authors are responsible for the copyright of the original work in all cases.
- All authors listed on the article must have contributed to the research.
- Authors must certify that the submitted work is original and has not been published elsewhere.
- Authors must report accurately on research findings, not manipulate data, or provide false information.
- Authors must ensure that all aspects of the research article to be published in the journal are correct and adhere to internationally accepted ethical standards.
- Authors must accept criticism and be able to respond with complete and accurate research data.
- Authors must cite the research work of others, and if they use such works in their own, they must include a reference list following the citation format in the "Manuscript Preparation" guidelines.
- Authors must write research articles accurately according to the format specified in the "Manuscript Preparation" guidelines.
Duties of Editors
- Editors of the journal are responsible for assessing the quality of articles for publication.
- Editors must take all necessary steps to ensure the quality of the published articles, certify the quality of the published research, and be aware of the journal's objectives and clear standards.
- Editors must provide or provide information about the peer review process and be prepared to explain any discrepancies from the review process.
- Editors must manage the journal according to the specified publication schedule.
- Editors must make decisions on accepting or rejecting research articles for publication.
- Editors must not disclose the information of authors and reviewers to unrelated persons during the evaluation process.
- Editors must review articles for plagiarism.
- In case of changes in the editorial board, new editors must not reverse decisions made by the previous editor regarding acceptance or rejection of articles unless appropriate and clear evidence is provided.
- If editors find plagiarism of others' work during the evaluation process, editors must stop the evaluation process and contact the main author immediately for clarification, acceptance, or rejection of the article.
- Editors must have a management system that does not conflict with the interests of authors and reviewers, as well as the editorial board.
Duties of Reviewers
- Reviewers must receive protection of the personal data of reviewers unless it is an open review process, which is notified to authors and reviewers in advance.
- Reviewers must have a system that ensures that the submitted article for evaluation is kept confidential during the evaluation process.
- Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not disclose the submitted article for evaluation to unrelated persons during the evaluation period.
- After receiving the article from the journal editor, if reviewers are aware that they may have a conflict of interest with the author, such as being a project collaborator or personally knowing the author, or other reasons that prevent them from providing independent comments and suggestions, reviewers must inform the journal editor and decline to review the article.
- Reviewers must consider the importance of the content of the article to the discipline, the quality of the analysis, and the depth of the work.
- Reviewers should not use personal opinions without supporting evidence as criteria for judging research articles.
- If reviewers know of any part of the article that is similar to or duplicates the work of others, reviewers must inform the journal editor.
