Patients and Methods: Retrospective study on the patients with cervical cancer IB treated with radical hysterectomy and pelvic node dissection in MNRH diving September 2002 – December 2005. Results: There were 44 patients recruited, most were 41-50 kg (43.2%). Tumor size was 1-2 cm (36.4%). Twelve patients had well controlled underlying diseases before operation. Two patients had the cancer stage after operation beyond IB (4.5%). Operation time was 3-4 hours (47.7%). Complications of operation were urinary bladder damage 11.3%, fever within 48 hours 36.4%. During follow-up period, only one patient diagnosed as adenocarcinoma, recurred within 8 months. The results were generally satisfied, even in patients who had some underlying diseases. However, in few cases, the disease staging before operation was not proper. The prominent complication of was urinary bladder damage, the other was fever within 48 hours.
