Modified Soldering Iron Instrument for Electrodesiccation at Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital

Abstract
Objective. To evaluate the modified soldering instrument for electrodesiccation compare with the standard electrodesiccator. Patients and method. This descriptive study was perform on 12 cases of common wart by 12 surgeons at Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital during April, 1998. The standard electrodesiccator modified low cost electrodesiccator were used in each patient. The outcome of treatment were analyzed. Result. There was no difference in outcome between the two instruments. The patient were treated successfully and safely without complication. Conclusion. The modified low cost instrument was comparable to the standard one in term of effectiveness and safety.
