THE STORY OF THE ROLES OF LAO AND BURMESE WOMEN IN THE MODERN ERA IN THE MEKONG RIVER CIVILIZATION

Abstract

This article aims to study the roles of modern Lao and Burmese women in the Mekong River Basin civilization. It was studied through the concept of Feminist Cultural Studies in data analysis. It uses information that appears and is published in printed media, namely articles, journals, research and online media on news websites in Laos and Burma. By choosing to collect primary data published between 1 December 2017 - 30 December 2023, then analyze and present it in a descriptive format.

          The results of the study of the roles of Lao women and Burmese women in the modern era in the Mekong River Basin civilization can be found in 3 roles as follows: 1) Study the roles of Lao women and Burmese women in the past. 2) Study the complex and changing perspectives of the roles of Lao women and Burmese women. and 3) study the role of modern Lao and Burmese women.
