Abstract

A tooth transplant (tooth autotransplantation) is the transfer of a tooth from one location to another in the same person. It is a treatment to replace lost teeth on the gum line with advantages in terms of chewing. It is beautiful and has a high success rate when performed under specific indications and with careful consideration of various influencing factors. In addition, tooth implants with open root tips increase the chance of tissue healing in the tooth cavity. (Healing of dental pulp) reduces the chance of root canal treatment and reduces patient costs.

This article presents a case study of a patient who received tooth 48 with an open root tip to replace tooth 46 that had decayed through the nerve cavity. From the 1 year follow-up. After treatment it was found to be successful. The implanted tooth has tissue healing in its cavity. Patients can use the implanted teeth to chew effectively without having to undergo root canal treatment.
